Our story

I don’t need to invent magic. They already possess it.

From Shadows to Color

I am Estefanía—though within this creative universe, I am known as Efu—the heart and hands behind Alebrijed.

There was a time when my world went dark, and every color faded into gray. I navigated through moments of deep vulnerability, but in the midst of that storm, I discovered a light that never wavered: it lived in the eyes, the loyalty, and the silent devotion of my animals. They brought me back to life.

Alebrijed began as a personal journey toward healing; today, it is a sanctuary. I chose vibrant lilac as our signature color because it pulses with life—it is my way of celebrating the light that returns after the storm.

A Shared Universe

The name Alebrijed is a tribute to my deep admiration for Mexican culture and its Alebrijes (spirit guides). Yet, looking at my own companions, I realized the true guardians of our souls are real; they have four paws and a heart that beats alongside ours.

By adding the "d" for Design, Alebrijed was born: a bridge between ancestral mysticism and hyper-realistic art. If you look closely at our logo, you will find a hidden "e". That is my signature—a quiet reminder of the hands that shaped your piece. But this brand belongs to all of us. I provide the clay, but you provide the bond that brings it to life.

Preserving Presence

I understand the ache of distance when you travel and cannot take them with you. I also know the profound silence left behind when they cross the rainbow bridge—a void I felt deeply with my beloved Loky.

I don’t just sculpt figures; I capture presence. My mission is to create a tactile portal—an amulet designed so you can carry your "safe space" to any corner of the world, feeling the strength of their companionship every time you touch your jewelry.

The Art of Structural Color

In my studio in La Ceja, Colombia, there are no shortcuts:

• No Molds: Every gesture and expression is modeled entirely from scratch using precision tools.

• Structural Color: I never use surface paint that might fade. Instead, I meticulously build your best friend’s exact color by hand-mixing polymer clays. The result is a piece as enduring as the love it represents.

Inspired by My Teachers

The soul of this project belongs to my own guardians: Coco the Pomeranian, Sascha my Rough Collie, and my mystical felines Freyja, Thor, and Blu... as well as the eternal memory of my angel, Loky. They taught me that being brave sometimes means simply allowing yourself to be loved.

Thank you for trusting me with the soul of your best friend.
